Prairie Land Project REACH

Prairie Land Project REACH

Project REACH is proudly part of a network of 35 programs and 18 Enhancement sites spanning 142 communities and 222 schools across Alberta. Our mission is clear: we’re dedicated to nurturing positive mental health in children, youth, and families while providing valuable support to those in our community who interact with young minds every day.

The MHCB Initiative is made possible thanks to funding from Alberta Health, and it’s passionately led by the experts at Alberta Health Services (AHS) Provincial Addiction and Mental Health.

Our journey began in 2011 when the Prairie Land School Division received funding to serve four schools within their division. As the years passed, it became evident that Project REACH’s impact needed to spread even wider. In 2014, we answered the call, expanding our reach to encompass all public schools and communities within the division. The results were so inspiring that, in 2019, we were honored to be selected as an MHCB expansion site, receiving an additional grant to extend our support to the Colonies of Hutterite Brethren within our school division.

But here’s the best part: our programs and services are open to all children, youth, and families in the Prairie Land Public School Division. Whether you’re looking to join us for in-school and after-school programs, engaging groups and activities, informative classroom and community presentations, or even virtual program sessions, we’re here to make a difference. We also offer professional development opportunities for school staff and community agencies, resource sharing, and exciting community-based events.

While most of our offerings are open to everyone, please note that some programs and activities may require pre-registration. We’re excited to embark on this mental health journey with you, so let’s build brighter, healthier minds together!

happy kids
