Family Resource Workers

Family Resource Workers

Our dedicated Family Resource Workers are here to lend a helping hand to students and their families, offering support for a wide spectrum of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. With a focus on creating a safe and healthy environment, our skilled team members possess the necessary counseling expertise to guide your child through any issues or concerns they may be facing.

What We Offer:

  • Support for Students and Families: We provide voluntary, short-term support to help you navigate life’s challenges.
  • Community Connections: Our program is your bridge to essential community services and agencies, ensuring you get the right help at the right time.
  • One-on-One Support: Students can access personalized, one-on-one support from our dedicated Family Resource Worker. We cover a wide range of topics, including emotional regulation, grief and loss, divorce and separation, parenting support, and fostering healthy habits.

Who’s Eligible:

If you’re a student in the Prairie Land School Division, you can access the Family Resource Program free of charge, provided you meet the program’s criteria.

How to Access the Program:

Accessing our program is easy and confidential:

  • Through School Staff: School administrators and teachers can make referrals directly to our Family Resource Worker.
  • Self-Referral: Parents, community members, and students themselves are welcome to reach out to us.

Once we receive a referral, our Family Resource Worker will promptly contact parents or guardians via phone. This conversation helps us understand your needs and ensures our program is a good fit for you. If we believe your needs are better served by another service, we’ll assist you in finding the right support. Your privacy is of the utmost importance, and all referrals are handled confidentially and assigned based on worker availability.
