ATA Memorandum of Agreement

The Board of Trustees passed a motion for the memorandum of agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association Local 36 and the Prairie Land School Division be ratified, conditional upon the PBCO review and acceptance.

Dual Credit Program
Prairie Land has signed a memorandum of understanding with Northern Lake College in Slave Lake, and Lethbridge Community College for additional Dual Credit course offerings for our high school students. Courses are available synchronously and asynchronously, allowing students to work toward courses and certificates in the following streams: Business Administration, Office Administration, Early Learning and Child Care, Educational Assistant, Addictions Counselling, Power Engineering 4th Class, Health Care Aide, Introduction to Agriculture, Agriculture Finance, Botany, Ecology, Animal Science, and Commodity Marketing.

Delia School Gold LEED
Prairie Land is proud to announce that the new Delia School construction has been awarded the Gold LEED standard. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a world construction standard that the Ministry strives to attain with new school builds throughout the province. LEED Silver is the minimal standard but through concerted efforts, the Delia project was able to achieve the Gold standard.

CanAm Bowl XXV
Special Areas #2 and the Harvest Sky Region is excited to welcome the prestigious 25th CanAm Bowl on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 featuring the top 6-aside football players from Canada playing their counterparts from the United States. The game will be held at J.C. Charyk School with a 1:00 p.m. kick-off. The Board of Trustees would like to congratulate four local players from the Hanna Hawks Senior Football team who made Team Canada; Gavin Brady (JCC), Spencer McMillin (JCC), Ryan Reding (Delia) and Hayden Scheerschmidt (JCC).
