2023-2026 Education Plan
The Board of Trustees passed a motion to approve the 2023-2026 Education Plan. This document was developed as a result of the community assurance meetings, in addition to staff, public and student surveys. The Board would like to thank the committee members and the school communities for their input and work into the assurance framework. 2023-2024 Budget
The 2023-2024 Operating and Capital budget was passed unanimously by the Prairie Land Board of Trustees on May 23, 2023. The 2023-2024 budget will allow for an increase from the 2022-2023 budget of 16.5 full-time equivalent teachers as well as 8.7 FTE support staff in various areas of operations. This includes the addition of a pilot project of two supply teachers to help address sub-teacher shortages. The remaining new positions will address enrolment growth.

The operating surplus of $979,837 will enable the support of additional capital purchases that will provide upgrades to our bus fleet and provide a pool of funds for value added programming initiatives at the school level. Planned purchases from capital reserves include upgrades to transportation shops, maintenance equipment and operational vehicle requirements. The 2023-2024 budget has been submitted to the Minister of Education for approval.

Board Agenda Modifications
The Board meeting agenda format will be changing effective the June 20 Board meeting. The in-camera portion of the meeting will be held at the beginning of the agenda so the public meeting will commence at 9:30 a.m.
