Delia Elks Scholarship

Dr. E.F. Todd Memorial Award
Grade 12 Award - selected by Delia and Morrin principals.

The Todd Memorial Scholarship consists of two scholarships: "The Dr. E.F. Todd Memorial Matriculation Award" and "The Dr. E.F. Todd Memorial Science Award".

The scholarships will be awarded on the following basis:

1. The winner of the Dr. E.F. Todd matriculation prize shall be the student graduating from High Schools under the jurisdiction of the Trustee, who has the best average in the preceding school year, of five (5) matriculation subjects, which, in any event, must be an average of at least seventy (70%). The subjects included are:

• English 30					
• Mathematics 30 or 31
• Social Studies 30
• French 30
• Biology 30
• Physics 30
• Chemistry 30

2. The winner of the Dr. E.F. Todd Memorial Science Award shall be the student graduating from High Schools under the jurisdiction of the Trustee, who has the best average in the preceding school year for any three (3) of the following subjects:

• Mathematics 30 or 31
• Physics 30
• Chemistry 30
• Biology 30
Ed Remfert Motivational Achievement Award
This cash award is presented to the Grade 10 student who has made a major commitment to improve their work ethics and learn new techniques and skills. Mrs. Terry Remfert is the sponsor of this award. 
The Gaye Ross Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually to a person who lives within Drumheller or the surrounding area and has been accepted into a post-secondary educational institution to become a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.

* $1500 - deadline is September 1st. Students must be entering or presently enrolled in an R.N. or R.P.N. program.

Application Details
Glenn & Lotta Thompson Valedictorian and Runner Up Valedictorian Award
This award is sponsored by Mrs. Joyce Brinkman who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are the Great Grandparents of Ted and Ben Brinkman.
Hanna Masonic Lodge Student Bursary

Knights of Columbus Bursary 
* two awards of $500 each - click for details and application form.
Penny Deugo Memorial Scholarship
Established: June 14th, 1984 by agreement between Scott Smith (Calgary) and Starland School Division.

Criteria:

To be awarded to the student from Delia School who has the best average in the preceding school year and plans to continue their education in one of the following programs of study:

a.     Physical Education Program

b.     If no student is continuing their education in “a”, then Secretarial Art Program.

c.     If no student is continuing their education in “a or b”, then Computer Sciences Program.

The program of study shall be undertaken at any University, Technical Institute, Community College or Educational Consortium.

Amount of the Award:

Each year until the fund has been depleted an amount of $200 (consisting of capital and interest) shall be withdrawn from the investment to be made available as the prize.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions:

If no students should qualify for prizes in any year, the income shall be invested along with the remaining capital. A prize awarded in a subsequent year shall be awarded as set out above ($200).

Starland County – Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship
Starland County wants to make a better future for you, your family, and our County. Education is key in making that happen. The Starland County's Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship is an opportunity to support Starland residents to further their education. Starland County residents can apply to one of the following Scholarships: Academic, Agricultural or Trades. (3) scholarships of $1,000 each.
