In the spirit of promoting and fostering excellence in all aspects of life, Prairie Land Public School Division is pleased to partner with the University of New Brunswick REDS to offer a new scholarship opportunity available to Prairie Land students in Grades 11 and 12. The University of New Brunswick has a long-standing reputation for high academic achievement while providing an outstanding athletic program for its students.

Prairie Land students with exceptional potential to grow into an elite-level student-athlete will be nominated by their coach and athletic director. Students considered for this scholarship will be exceptionally talented athletes, academically driven, and show consistent and exemplary teamwork and sportsmanship.

The scholarship is intended to nurture the development of athletics beyond high school for Prairie Land’s most promising student-athletes. The prize includes an all-expense paid trip to the University of New Brunswick campus. The student will then spend up to three days in Fredericton discovering the lifestyle of a U SPORTS Student-Athlete through observing competitions, practices, team meetings, and more. The winning recipients may also have the opportunity to meet U SPORTS athletic trainers who can provide guidance and training advice in preparing for sports after high school. There will also be the opportunity for a campus tour and academic meetings with advisors to discuss any university programming that the Prairie Land students are interested in.
